As of April 1, 2023, Kazakhstan began controlling goods that enter the country to track their re-export until they reach their final destination.
Kazakhstan launched a new online tool that allows real-time tracking of the entire chain of goods movement. The new measure is designed to prevent companies and individuals from using Kazakhstan to circumvent sanctions against Russia. In this regard, enforcement proceedings may be initiated for complex import schemes with deliveries to one or more offshore structures to deliver products to Russia.
